And he said, I know not, [Am] I my brother's keeper? #, 01_GEN_04_10  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. #, 01_GEN_09_25  And he said, Cursed [be] Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. #, 01_GEN_09_26  And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. #, 01_GEN_15_05  And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them, and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. #, 01_GEN_15_07  And he said unto him, I [am] the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. #, 01_GEN_15_08  And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it? #, 01_GEN_15_09  And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. #, 01_GEN_15_13  And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land [that is] not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; #, 01_GEN_16_08  And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai. #, 01_GEN_18_09  And they said unto him, Where [is] Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. #, 01_GEN_18_10  And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard [it] in the tent door, which [was] behind him. #, 01_GEN_18_15  Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh. #, 01_GEN_18_28  Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous, wilt thou destroy all the city for [lack of] five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy [it]. #, 01_GEN_18_29  And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do [it] for forty's sake. #, 01_GEN_18_30  And he said [unto him], Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak, Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do [it], if I find thirty there. #, 01_GEN_18_31  And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy [it] for twenty's sake. #, 01_GEN_18_32  And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once, Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy [it] for ten's sake. #, 01_GEN_19_02  And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. #, 01_GEN_19_21  And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. #, 01_GEN_20_04  But Abimelech had not come near her, and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? #, 01_GEN_21_30  And he said, For [these] seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well. #, 01_GEN_22_01  And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham, and he said, Behold, [here] I [am]. #, 01_GEN_22_02  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son] Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. #, 01_GEN_22_07  And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father, and he said, Here [am] I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood, but where [is] the lamb for a burnt offering? #, 01_GEN_22_07  And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father, and he said, Here [am] I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood, but where [is] the lamb for a burnt offering? #, 01_GEN_22_11  And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham, and he said, Here [am] I. #, 01_GEN_22_12  And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him, for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me. #, 01_GEN_24_12  And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and show kindness unto my master Abraham. #, 01_GEN_24_27  And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth, I [being] in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren. #, 01_GEN_24_31  And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels. #, 01_GEN_24_33  And there was set [meat] before him to eat, but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on. #, 01_GEN_24_34  And he said, I [am] Abraham's servant. #, 01_GEN_24_40  And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house, #, 01_GEN_24_54  And they did eat and drink, he and the men that [were] with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master. #, 01_GEN_24_56  And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master. #, 01_GEN_26_07  And the men of the place asked [him] of his wife; and he said, She [is] my sister, for he feared to say, [She is] my wife; lest, [said he], the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she [was] fair to look upon. #, 01_GEN_26_22  And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not, and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. #, 01_GEN_27_01  And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son, and he said unto him, Behold, [here am] I. #, 01_GEN_27_02  And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death, #, 01_GEN_27_18  And he came unto his father, and said, My father, and he said, Here [am] I; who [art] thou, my son? #, 01_GEN_27_20  And Isaac said unto his son, How [is it] that thou hast found [it] so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought [it] to me. #, 01_GEN_27_24  And he said, [Art] thou my very son Esau? And he said, I [am]. #, 01_GEN_27_25  And he said, Bring [it] near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought [it] near to him, and he did eat, and he brought him wine, and he drank. #, 01_GEN_27_32  And Isaac his father said unto him, Who [art] thou? And he said, I [am] thy son, thy firstborn Esau. #, 01_GEN_27_35  And he said, Thy brother came with subtlety, and hath taken away thy blessing. #, 01_GEN_27_36  And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times, he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me? #, 01_GEN_28_16  And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew [it] not. #, 01_GEN_29_05  And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know [him]. #, 01_GEN_29_06  And he said unto them, [Is] he well? And they said, [He is] well, and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep. #, 01_GEN_29_07  And he said, Lo, [it is] yet high day, neither [is it] time that the cattle should be gathered together, water ye the sheep, and go [and] feed [them]. #, 01_GEN_29_25  And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it [was] Leah, and he said to Laban, What [is] this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me? #, 01_GEN_30_02  And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel, and he said, [Am] I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb? #, 01_GEN_30_28  And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give [it]. #, 01_GEN_30_29  And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me. #, 01_GEN_30_31  And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing, if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed [and] keep thy flock. #, 01_GEN_31_12  And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle [are] ringstreaked, speckled, and grisled, for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. #, 01_GEN_32_26  And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. #, 01_GEN_32_27  And he said unto him, What [is] thy name? And he said, Jacob. #, 01_GEN_32_28  And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel, for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. #, 01_GEN_32_29  And Jacob asked [him], and said, Tell [me], I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore [is] it [that] thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. #, 01_GEN_33_05  And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who [are] those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant. #, 01_GEN_33_08  And he said, What [meanest] thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, [These are] to find grace in the sight of my lord. #, 01_GEN_33_12  And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee. #, 01_GEN_33_13  And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children [are] tender, and the flocks and herds with young [are] with me, and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die. #, 01_GEN_33_15  And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee [some] of the folk that [are] with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord. #, 01_GEN_37_06  And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed, #, 01_GEN_37_13  And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed [the flock] in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here [am I]. #, 01_GEN_37_14  And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem. #, 01_GEN_37_16  And he said, I seek my brethren, tell me, I pray thee, where they feed [their flocks]. #, 01_GEN_37_35  And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him. #, 01_GEN_38_17  And he said, I will send [thee] a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give [me] a pledge, till thou send [it]? #, 01_GEN_38_18  And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that [is] in thine hand. And he gave [it] her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him. #, 01_GEN_42_02  And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt, get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die. #, 01_GEN_42_07  And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food. #, 01_GEN_42_12  And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come. #, 01_GEN_42_28  And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, [it is] even in my sack, and their heart failed [them], and they were afraid, saying one to another, What [is] this [that] God hath done unto us? #, 01_GEN_42_38  And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone, if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave. #, 01_GEN_43_23  And he said, Peace [be] to you, fear not, your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks, I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them. #, 01_GEN_43_29  And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, [Is] this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto thee, my son. #, 01_GEN_44_10  And he said, Now also [let] it [be] according unto your words, he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless. #, 01_GEN_44_17  And he said, God forbid that I should do so, [but] the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father. #, 01_GEN_45_04  And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I [am] Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. #, 01_GEN_45_24  So he sent his brethren away, and they departed, and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way. #, 01_GEN_46_02  And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here [am] I. #, 01_GEN_46_03  And he said, I [am] God, the God of thy father, fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation, #, 01_GEN_47_30  But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand. #, 04_NUM_22_08  And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak unto me, and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam. #, 04_NUM_22_30  And the ass said unto Balaam, [Am] not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since [I was] thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay. #, 04_NUM_23_04  And God met Balaam, and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon [every] altar a bullock and a ram. #, 04_NUM_23_15  And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet [the LORD] yonder. #, 05_DEU_31_02  And he said unto them, I [am] an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in, also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan. #, 05_DEU_32_20  And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end [shall be], for they [are] a very froward generation, children in whom [is] no faith. #, 05_DEU_32_46  And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. #, 05_DEU_33_02  And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints, from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them. #, 05_DEU_33_07  And this [is the blessing] of Judah, and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people, let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help [to him] from his enemies. #, 06_JOS_05_14  And he said, Nay; but [as] captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him. #, 07_JUD_06_15  And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family [is] poor in Manasseh, and I [am] the least in my father's house. #, 07_JUD_06_17  And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then show me a sign that thou talkest with me. #, 07_JUD_06_18  Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set [it] before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again. #, 07_JUD_07_17  And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise, and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be [that], as I do, so shall ye do. #, 07_JUD_08_02  And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? [Is] not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer? #, 07_JUD_08_05  And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they [be] faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian. #, 07_JUD_08_19  And he said, They [were] my brethren, [even] the sons of my mother, [as] the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you. #, 07_JUD_08_20  And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, [and] slay them. But the youth drew not his sword, for he feared, because he [was] yet a youth. #, 07_JUD_09_29  And would to God this people were under my hand! then would I remove Abimelech. And he said to Abimelech, Increase thine army, and come out. #, 07_JUD_11_38  And he said, Go. And he sent her away [for] two months, and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains. #, 07_JUD_12_06  Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth, and he said Sibboleth, for he could not frame to pronounce [it] right. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told [it] my father nor my mother, and shall I tell [it] thee? #, 07_JUD_14_18  And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What [is] sweeter than honey? and what [is] stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle. #, 07_JUD_15_01  But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in. #, 07_JUD_15_11  Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines [are] rulers over us? what [is] this [that] thou hast done unto us? And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice. #, 09_1SA_16_08  Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this. #, 09_1SA_16_09  Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this. #, 09_1SA_16_11  And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all [thy] children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him, for we will not sit down till he come hither. #, 09_1SA_17_28  And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? And he said unto her, [There is] not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. #, 12_2KI_04_07  Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest. #, 12_2KI_04_12  And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him. #, 12_2KI_04_13  And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what [is] to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people. #, 12_2KI_04_14  And he said, What then [is] to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old. #, 12_2KI_04_15  And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door. #, 12_2KI_04_16  And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And he cast [it] into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot. #, 12_2KI_04_42  And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat. #, 12_2KI_05_15  And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him, and he said, Behold, now I know that [there is] no God in all the earth, but in Israel, now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant. #, 12_2KI_05_19  And he said unto him, Go in peace.
