And the LORD said, Judah [shall go up] first. #, 07_JUD_13_18  And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it [is] secret? #, 07_JUD_13_16  And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread_ and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah. #, 09_1SA_16_12  And he sent, and brought him in. Now he [was] ruddy, [and] withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him_ for this [is] he. #, 09_1SA_16_07  But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him_ for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. #, 09_1SA_16_02  And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear [it], he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD. #, 09_1SA_16_01  And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite_ for I have provided me a king among his sons. #, 09_1SA_09_17  And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people. #, 09_1SA_08_22  And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king.
